Welcome

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God . . .  every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God."  -- I John 4 : 1, 2

This is my prayer for each of you.  The world contains many voices that sound good to our ears, but they may well be singing the lies of the Enemy.  I hope that by learning to read and think critically, you will learn to separate the Truth from error and to discard what is wrong while retaining what is good.   This process will not be easy but if you stay focused and engaged in the class discussions, you will learn what you need to know.

General policies for all of my classes are as follows:

1.  My teacher pages will be updated weekly to show the material to be covered for that week.  This will include general objectives, material to be read and / or discussed, and estimations for when the next quiz or test will be given.

2.  Specific homework assignments will be given in class.  They will be both announced and written on the board in class and will be posted on my teacher pages daily.  You are responsible for keeping up with the assignments and for making them up if you are absent.

3.  Any homework assignment not completed on time, excluding those caused by absence, will result in a lunch detention and half-credit given for the assignment.

4.  My grading system is to count homework and quiz grades once and test grades twice; I drop the lowest homework or quiz grade, and the average of the remaining grades is your current grade.

I am looking forward to teaching you this year!
